This is not your usual concert. Music, theatre, dance, video, light and technology blend together, and you’ll need to open your eyes as much as your ears. This programme continues the WACK x lovemusic project, supported by Diaphonique, and brings together six short, very different works. A bass flute enters into dialogue with sign language. A violin and a cello become physical extensions of their performers’ bodies. Processed instrumental sounds and urban imagery combine into an abstract portrait of the city. A flute slips into the intimate world of screens and ASMR. Your own phones turn the hall into a shared space of colour, light and sound. And to close the evening, Respect for Reality, the new multimedia work by British composer Neil Luck, commissioned by lovemusic: performance, text, video and electronics come together to dismantle the myths of film production. No need to be an expert to get swept up in it: just bring your curiosity.
