Set designer and author with multidisciplinary interests, Mathilde Melero looks at the space through the prism of speech, be it textual, musical or corporal. Trained at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin, she strengthened her technical skills at the Opera Bastille and the Opéra du Rhin as well as in several professional theatre stages in Strasbourg (Maillon, Taps, Tjp, Artus).
From storytelling to musicals and opera, she enjoys working on different registers, as long as artistic "words" are exchanged.
With eleven other scenographic artists, she formed in 2015 the collective SCENOPOLIS; a group of scenographers that create collective and individual creations within diverse festivals. In 2016, she founded the LUMEN Fabrique company with two other artists: a factory of shows aimed at a general public focused on light and storytelling.
